Ah, air travel. What was once a convenient way to travel long distances has become a clusterfuck of rubber glove cavity invasions and swine flu scares. It used to be that families would dress up for a trip on the plane, ready to eat steak and lobster with real silverware- polished even! Now bums show up at the airport in their pajamas (a look I’m seriously opposed to for everywhere but in bed), sloppy-looking and disheveled, clothes implying they don’t give a damn what they’re wearing yet the carrying oversized stuffed suitcases that would suggest otherwise. It took less than 15 minutes possession time for the Colts to beat the Dolphins Monday night in the land of Margaritaville. Miami let time pass like an hourglass without a waistline. And I’m not sure what’s worse- the two opportunities the Dolphins offense literally let slip through their fingers (get some sticky gloves!), one that required just a toe tap in the endzone to result in a TD, or that Pennington looked to be throwing to the Colts D on that last play. Started the morning checking out the new New Glarus brewery. Phenomenal, I have a million pictures of that place so if I ever get around to loading them, I’ll write more. Then onto Great Dane Brewing for a nice lunch and free bus ride to Olin- Turnville Park for the brewfest.
The fest… whew, there are more people waiting in line than the unemployment offices in Detroit! Amazingly, it took us all about 5 minutes to get through the gate and get our tasting glasses. No order, but no chaos. Read the rest of this entry »
