Art is a funny thing. Most artists don’t become famous until after their death. Visiting the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, I can appreciate his skills. But WTF is this? The Kolumba Museum in Cologne, Germany mixes Gothic ruin architecture (ok, that’s cool) with art.
I tried to get cultured and ended up confused. Perhaps someone wants to explain how displaying meat on boxes next to tortue devices (?) and hanging trash under a table and attaching it to the ceiling is art… I think transcendence can be portrayed in a less crude way, or I’m just completely ignorant to the symbolism these “artists” are getting from their work.
