Nissan Skyline GT-R (all) – $75,000 (R35)
a. “GT-R Dun”- This Godzilla can capture me any day.
b. The R35 has a 3.8L twin turbo V6 making 480 bhp though many engines have been dyno tested almost as high to the wheels, suggesting Nissan understates the GTR’s power.
c. 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 193mph, but holy crap- a 0.27 coefficient of drag!!!
d. Lapped the Nürburgring in 7 minutes 29 seconds. That’s faster than a Porsche 911 Turbo, the CCX, a McLaren Mercedes, the speed of sound…
e. Which takes me to comfort; all this performance, all this power, and the car is quiet except for the squeal of the tires, the gaspy blow off valve and breathy exhaust, and maybe the driver salivating.
f. Each gearbox is specifically mated to each hand built engine!
g. Has a more complex system of electronics than the NASA control center.
h. Comes with a maintenance Bible you need to follow if you plan to keep the warranty.
